Blank Screen With Driver Not Found Error

2 min read

If you see a blank white screen with a “driver not found” or “could not find driver” error message after uploading your landing page files, it means your hosting server is missing a required PHP extension.

What Causes This Error

Our landing pages with an admin panel store all settings and data in a SQLite database (the db.sqlite3 file inside the /includes folder). To read this database, your server needs the PDO SQLite PHP extension enabled.

When this extension is missing or disabled, PHP cannot connect to the database and displays a “driver not found” error instead of loading your landing page.

How to Fix It

The solution is to enable the pdo_sqlite extension on your hosting server. How you do this depends on your hosting provider and control panel.

If you are using cPanel

  1. Log in to your cPanel dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Software > Select PHP Version (or MultiPHP INI Editor).
  3. Find pdo_sqlite in the list of PHP extensions.
  4. Check the box to enable it and click Save.

If you are using DirectAdmin

  1. Log in to your DirectAdmin panel.
  2. Navigate to Account Manager > PHP Version Selector (or Custom PHP Settings).
  3. Find pdo_sqlite in the extensions list.
  4. Enable it and save your changes.

If you do not have access to PHP settings

Some hosting providers do not allow you to change PHP extensions yourself. In that case, contact your hosting provider’s support team and ask them to enable the pdo_sqlite PHP extension for your account.

How to Verify the Fix

After enabling the extension, reload your landing page in the browser. The error should be gone and your landing page should load normally.

If the issue persists, create a file called info.php in your root directory with the following content:

<?php phpinfo(); ?>

Open this file in your browser, search for pdo_sqlite, and confirm it appears in the list of enabled extensions. Delete this file immediately after checking, as it exposes sensitive server information.

If pdo_sqlite still does not appear after enabling it, your server’s PHP installation may need to be recompiled with SQLite support. Contact your hosting provider for further assistance.
