How to Reset Your Admin Password

If you have forgotten your admin dashboard credentials or need to change your password, there are two ways to do it depending on whether you can still access the admin panel or not.

Option 1: Change Password Through the Admin Panel

If you can still log in to your admin dashboard, you can change your credentials directly from the Settings section. Look for the Admin Credentials or Change Password option, enter your new username and password, and save the changes.

Option 2: Edit the Configuration File

If you are locked out of the admin panel and cannot log in, you can reset your credentials by editing the admin-configuration.php file located in the root folder of your landing page directory.

How to reset your credentials

1. Connect to your hosting server via File Manager or an FTP client.
2. Navigate to the root directory of your landing page.
3. Open the admin-configuration.php file.
4. You will see your current admin username and password stored in plain text:

   $username_admin = 'your_username';
   $password_admin = 'your_password';
   ?>

5. Change the values to your new desired username and password.
6. Save the file and close the editor.
7. Go to your admin dashboard login page and log in using the new credentials.

Security Recommendations

Since your admin credentials are stored in a plain PHP file, we recommend taking the following precautions:

• Use a strong, unique password that includes a mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
• Rename your admin folder from the default /admin to a random string to make it harder for unauthorized users to find your login page.
• Make sure the admin-configuration.php file permissions are set to 644 so it cannot be accessed directly from the browser.
